In 2025, the Board of Directors of Rainbow Department Store Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") strictly followed the requirements of the "Company Law," "Articles of Association," and "Rules of Procedure for the Board of Directors" and other laws, regulations, and systems in carrying out its work, conscientiously performed its duties, continuously improved the Company's standardized construction, and promoted the Company's steady development.
I. Company's 2025 Business Development
The Company actively responded to changes in the industry environment, focused on overcoming challenges, and bravely tackled difficulties. It adhered to the "dual-driven" development strategy of industrial digitalization and digital industrialization, continuously promoted the transformation and upgrading of core businesses and the shaping of core competitiveness, and accelerated the iteration and upgrading of AI+ retail technology to achieve high-quality development. During the reporting period, the Company achieved sales of 36.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2.2%; operating revenue was 11.559 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.92%; and net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 83 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 8.43%.
- Significant achievements in core business breakthroughs, and continuous improvement in store competitiveness
In the supermarket sector, the Company deepened the promotion of the Sp@ce 3.0 brand upgrade, completing the standardized upgrade of 6 stores and optimizing the business operations of 18 stores throughout the year. The 6 standardized upgraded stores saw an 18% year-on-year increase in sales and a 33% year-on-year increase in customer spending after reopening. The Sp@ce Rainbow Supermarket 3.0 service design won the "2025 Service Design Excellence Case" at the 8th Service Design Conference of the China International Fair for Trade in Services. Through supply chain integration, product strength building, and refined operations, the gross profit margin of comparable stores increased by 0.89 percentage points year-on-year.
In the shopping mall sector, the Company promoted the creation of benchmark stores in key locations, deepening the innovation of store functions and the upgrading of business formats. The Company actively promoted the transformation of existing projects. For example, the Nanchang Metro Building project explored an innovative theme-based commercial path, successfully transforming into "Jiangxi's Second Dimension Fan Support Hub," achieving a 37% year-on-year increase in customer traffic. Meizhou Rainbow and Changsha Junshang, two new shopping malls, opened smoothly, injecting new vitality into the regional market.
In the department store sector, the Company actively optimized its business structure and continued to upgrade to community living centers. The experience-based business format in community living centers accounted for 51.4% of store traffic, driving an overall 5.3% increase in customer traffic and significantly enhancing social engagement and vibrancy.
- Strengthening the creation of core competitiveness, consolidating the foundation for development
The platform supply chain continuously enriched consumer content and scenario experiences, focusing on deepening the brand matrix in trend categories such as sports and outdoor, IP trendy play, and digital technology. Over 350 high-potential brands were introduced throughout the year, including over 300 first stores in cities and high-level store formats. The Company continued to break through high-end supply chains, introducing over 40 high-end cosmetics, luxury goods, and leading trend brands.
Further strengthening product power and brand appeal. The vertical supply chain continuously optimized the price management system by deploying a price comparison system and establishing a cost negotiation tracking mechanism, simultaneously strengthening value marketing capabilities and significantly improving the effectiveness of promotions. In addition, the Company continuously optimized the product structure, focusing on creating core blockbuster products in the two major directions of people's livelihood and quality.
