I. Basic Project Information
Issyk-Kul Prefecture in the Kyrgyz Republic is located in the eastern part of the Kyrgyz Republic, with an area of approximately 43,700 square kilometers, and governs 3 cities and 5 districts. Currently, the Kyrgyz government is cooperating with international organizations such as the United Nations Development Programme and the World Bank to promote the ecological protection of Issyk-Kul and has formulated the "Issyk-Kul Sustainable Development Plan."
