About This Report
Report Description
This report is the fifth Sustainability/Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) report issued by Shanxi Meijin Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Meijin Energy," "the Company," or "we"). It aims to comprehensively elaborate on the Company's management initiatives in environmental, social, and corporate governance aspects for 2025, as well as its fulfillment of responsibilities towards stakeholders such as shareholders, customers, partners, employees, and the community, objectively disclosing the Company's management and achievements in sustainable development.
Report Scope
This report covers information and data from January 1, 2025, to December 31, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as "the Reporting Period"), with some information and data tracing back to 2025 or earlier, or extending to 2026. The report content covers the Company and its 103 subsidiaries, including coal, coke, chemicals, hydrogen energy, technology, and other businesses. For details of the Company's business, please refer to the Company's 2025 Annual Report.
Basis for Report Preparation
This report is prepared with reference to the "Guidelines for the Self-Regulation of Listed Companies on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange – Sustainability Report (Trial)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guidelines") issued by the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (hereinafter referred to as the "SZSE"), the "Shenzhen Stock Exchange Listed Company Self-Regulation Guide No. 3 – Sustainability Report Preparation" (hereinafter referred to as the "Guide"), the "GRI Sustainability Reporting Standards" (hereinafter referred to as the "GRI Standards") issued by the Global Sustainability Standards Board (GSSB), and the requirements of the "UN Sustainable Development Goals Corporate Action Guide" (SDGs). It also draws upon the key issues from the ESG rating of the Corporate Sustainability Assessment (CSA) by global leading index institution S&P Global.
Principles of Report Preparation
Materiality: The materiality of the Company's sustainable development issues is confirmed by the Board of Directors. Stakeholder communication, identification of material issues, and the materiality matrix are disclosed in this report. For the process and results of the materiality analysis, please refer to Section "1.4 Sustainable Management Mechanism" of this report.
Quantifiability
The statistical standards, methods, assumptions, calculation tools, and professional terminology for the quantitative key performance indicators in this report are all explained. For quantitative information, please refer to the "Sustainability Performance Table" in this report.
Balance
This report objectively and fairly presents the Company's performance during the reporting period, avoiding any undue influence on readers' decisions or judgments due to selective disclosure, omission, or inappropriate presentation of information.
Consistency
The statistical methods and definitions used for the disclosed data in this report remain consistent with previous years unless otherwise specified.
