Wens Foodstuff Group Co.,Ltd. (“Wens” or “the company”), established in 1983, is a husbandry group that gives priority to livestock and poultry farming, supporting the relevant business across the region of modern agriculture and animal. 1 Main Operations and Product Lines 1.1 The company's primary business is the breeding and sale of broiler chickens and pigs, as well as the breeding and sale of ducks, laying hens, pigeons, and other related products. In addition, the company operates complementary businesses along the poultry and livestock breeding industry chain, including poultry and livestock slaughtering, food processing, modern agricultural and pastoral equipment manufacturing, veterinary medicine production, and financial investment. 1.2 The main customer base for broiler chickens, ducks, eggs, and pigeon meat is wholesalers and terminal retailers; for pork, it is wholesalers and meat processing plants. The main customer base for agricultural and pastoral equipment and veterinary medicine includes various breeding enterprises, encompassing the company's own breeding branches and subsidiaries as well as other breeding companies in the same industry. 2 Main Business Model Wens adopts the model of “company + peasant household” for pigs and chickens farming, which features a close-knit contractual relationship between the company and the peasants. Based on technical difficulty, labor intensity, fund availability and market performance, the company entrusts the pigs and chickens rearing to the peasants. They undertake different responsibilities and obligations in the rearing process by entering into a contract. Wens is responsible for the whole chain that combines poultry breeding, breed rearing, feed manufacturing, farm management, disease treatment/prevention and products distribution. Wens has a farm management and service system which covers breeding, breed rearing, feed manufacturing, disease treatment/prevention, products distribution, and providing technical advice to the peasants. The peasants are responsible for pigs and chickens raising. According to the contract, Wens sells pigs and chickens. Finally, the company settles accounts with the peasants.
