Beijing Originwater Technology Co., Ltd. (BOW) is a high-tech enterprise based in Beijing, founded in 2001 by overseas returned scholars. The company specializes in advanced membrane technology aimed at addressing critical water issues in China, including water pollution, shortages, and drinking water insecurity. BOW is listed on the ChiNext board of the Shenzhen Stock Exchange since 2010 and has established itself as a key player in the ecological protection and environmental governance sector. BOW's main business lines include the development and production of various membrane technologies such as microfiltration, ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, and reverse osmosis, among others. The company operates Asia's largest membrane production and research center, which is dedicated to innovation in water and wastewater treatment. With a strong focus on research and development, BOW invests a significant portion of its income into R&D and has developed over 600 patents. BOW has strong financing ability and financial strength, and is the main sponsor and largest shareholder of the Z-park Brach of Minsheng Bank, which is the first and largest private bank in Beijing. BOW invests nearly 5% of all business income into research and development each year, employs nearly 1000 research specialists and has developed over 600 patents. BOW has won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, and the first prize of the Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award several times, as well as many other honors. BOW has undertaken many national research projects such as the “National Major Water Project,” the “863 Project” and the “National Science and Technology Support Plans.” In order to accelerate the growth of water treatment technology BOW has established and constructed many academic partnerships and R&D centers such as building an academician expert workstation, a postdoctoral workstation and a national engineering technology Center. BOW has jointly established R&D centers with Tsinghua University, University of New South Wales and other universities.
