Company Profile
Based on the industrial concept of "recycling for future", the Company has developed a business mode driven by the dual tracks of "urban mining and new energy materials manufacturing". The Company has established 16 waste recycling processing plants and new energy material manufacturing factories in 8 provinces and cities in China, as well as in South Africa, South Korea, and Indonesia. It has built an urban mining extraction system centered around major cities in China, with its green development footprint radiating across the world and extending 3,000 kilometers within China. The annual recovery and processing of retired power batteries accounts for over 10% of China’s total, the annual recovery and processing of end-of-life vehicles accounts for over 6% of China’s total end-of-life vehicles, and the annual recovery of nickel resources accounts for over 20% of China’s raw nickel mining output. The Company has become an outstanding representative in promoting the development of a circular economy and practicing the concept of green development. In November 2017, the Company became the first Chinese new energy industry enterprise to invest in Indonesia, where it proposed for the first time the industrial concept of "feeding in laterite nickel ore to produce battery materials." It became a pioneer in transforming global nickel resource extraction from the traditional stainless steel fire smelting mode to the green smelting mode for new energy. Since 2019, the Company has taken the lead in advocating the "Technology + Culture" flexible approach for overseas expansion. It has contributed to the establishment of a scientific research center in Indonesia and the cultivation of senior metallurgical engineering and new energy materials technology talent, promoting the localization of metallurgical mining technology, talent, and intellectual property in Indonesia. This has allowed Chinese technology and education to benefit Indonesia, winning the hearts of the people and creating a new history in China-Indonesia scientific and cultural exchanges.
Full description
Based on the industrial concept of "recycling for future", the Company has developed a business mode driven by the dual tracks of "urban mining and new energy materials manufacturing". In the field of urban mining, the Company recycles and utilizes key mineral resources such as nickel, cobalt, lithium, tungsten, used power batteries, electronic waste, end-of-life vehicles, and waste plastics. It has established a multi-layered demonstration model for urban mining extraction, which includes “battery recycling boxes—waste recycling supermarkets—resource distribution markets—low-carbon recycling factories—urban mining extraction industrial parks.” This model enables the remanufacturing of over 20 key mineral resources, including nickel, cobalt, lithium, copper, manganese, tungsten, gold, silver, platinum, germanium, gallium, and scandium. The Company is a leader in global urban mining and one of the world's leading waste recycling enterprises. In the new energy field, the Company has developed a "nickel resource—precursor—cathode material" full industry chain for nickel resources in new energy, through the process of "feeding in laterite nickel ore to produce battery materials." Its ternary precursor materials for power batteries, ternary cathode materials, and cobalt tetroxide for 3C digital batteries have entered the global top-tier market, making the Company a top player in the world’s new energy supply chain. The Company deeply participates in global industrial chain cooperation and has become an indispensable core enterprise in the global supply chain. The Company has established supply chain cooperation with globally renowned enterprises such as SAMSUNG SDI, CATL, SK On, ECOPRO, LGC, ATL, Umicore, Sandvik, Kennametal, BYD, China Minmetals, GAC Group, and Tsingshan. The Company’s ternary precursor materials for power batteries are the second-largest globally in terms of shipment volume, accounting for more than 15% of the world market, and are used in 15% of the world’s ternary battery-powered new energy vehicles. The Company’s cobalt tetroxide products for 3C batteries are the second-largest in global shipment volume, accounting for more than 20% of the world market. The Company’s ultra-fine cobalt powder is the largest in the world, occupying more than 50% of the world’s hard alloy market.
