MB Apparel is formerly known as Shanghai Metersbonwe Fashion & Accessories Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "MB Limited"). In 2000, MB Limited was jointly founded by Wenzhou Metersbonwe Co., Ltd. (renamed as Metersbonwe Group Co., Ltd.) and Shanghai Bowen Fashion & Accessories Co., Ltd., with initial registered capital of 10 million RMB. The company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on August 28, 2008 (stock name "MB apparel", Stock code: 002269), and has gone through a number of changes in equity rights and increase capital rights since 2013. At the end of September 2017, the company's capital is 2.5125 billion RMB, of which Shanghai Huafu Investment Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Huafu Investment") shareholding of 50.65%, natural person Hu Jiajia shareholding of 8.96%, public shareholding of 40.39%. Natural person Zhou Chengjian directly holds 70% of Huafu investment 70.00%; and Shanghai Qige Fashion & Apparel Co., Ltd, which Zhou Chengjian has 90% holdings of, holds 30% of Huafu Investment, therefore, Zhou Chengjian is the actual controller of the company. Zhou Chengjian is Hu Jiajia's father. The company conduct branded casual wear production, procurement and sales mainly through the business model of independent design, R&D, outsourced production, direct distribution and franchisee distribution. The company currently owns two brands, Meters/bonwe and ME&CITY, among which, Meters/bonwe has 5 lifestyle segmentations of newear, Hystyl, Novachic, mtee and Aself and 2 independent children's wear brand "MooMoo", " ME&CITY kids.
