1.New energy business: depending on its advanced production equipment and technologies, the Company has continuously intensified technical innovation and new product development by making use of its exclusivity and geographical advantages in the gas business, which made it a model of energy conservation and emission reduction as well as development of circular economy in Nanjing Chemical Industry Park. Its subsidiary, Anhui Baolong Environmental Protect Technology Co., Ltd., has successively undertaken three projects under the national 863 Program, one project under China Torch Program, and one central government investment project, presided over and participated in the establishment of national industrial standards and local standards. Its technical achievements won the second prize of the National Award for Science and Technology Progress and the first prize of the Award of the Ministry of Environmental Protection for Environmental Science Progress. 2.Functional material business: the Company possesses several invention patents in the LCD material field, takes the lead in China in terms of the annual processing capacity of liquid crystal monomers and intermediates as well as the annual production capacity of TFT mixing liquid crystal, and ranks first in the global sales of monochromatic liquid crystal materials. It holds a market share of more than 70% in the global TN liquid crystal material market and a market share of 40% in the global STN liquid crystal material market. It was listed among China’s dominant enterprises in intellectual property in 2016. 3.Health care business: the Company has held a leading position in the world in D-ribose product application development. Its project named “D-ribose production by the fermentation method” has been incorporated into the National Innovation Program, National New Products Program, National Biological Structure Adjustment and Industrial Upgrade Program. It has also held a controlling stake in a tertiary, Grade A hospital—Dandong First Hospital, which is a teaching hospital of China Medical University and other universities, and had 20 wards, 45 departments and 1,080 beds by the end of 2016.

The Company is a high-tech listed company controlled by Tsinghua University, a strategic leading enterprise of Tsinghua Holdings, and a key enterprise in Jiangxi Province. It mainly engages in new energy, functional material and health care sectors, and is also an industrial platform of Tsinghua University to realize transformation of scientific research achievements in the aforesaid sectors. Piggybacking on the talent and academic advantages of Tsinghua University, and shouldering the mission of serving the country through industry and building an independent innovation brand, the Company has become a leading comprehensive operator of industrial gases and basic chemical raw materials in domestic clean energy field, and established a long-term partnership with large petrochemical companies. Its products include carbon monoxide, hydrogen, syngas, ethylene, n-butanol, isobutanol, octanol, isobutyraldehyde, etc. The Company also engages in the R&D, production, sale and services of laser remote sensing monitoring instruments for vehicle exhaust, and assists the state to build environment-friendly smart cities with domestic leading technologies and products. In the functional material field, it engages in the production and sale of TN, STN and TFT series of LCD materials. It is the largest supplier of mixing liquid crystal materials in China and main manufacturer of TFT-LCD materials in the world, as well as the liquid crystal supplier of more than 85% of the global traditional TN/STN-LCD manufacturers. Besides, the Company also engages in the production and sale of such products as ITO conducting glass, display thinning glass, vacuum coated glass, etc., and comes at the top of the rankings in terms of strengthen among domestic peers. In the health care field, it possesses hospital management companies, general hospitals and professional medical service institutions, is occupied in hospital investment management, medical service, medical logistics, and medical professionals’ service, and dedicated to the development and market expansion of natural fermented products like D-ribose. So far, it has formed distinct brand and quality advantages in the international market, and possessed complete intellectual property rights in D-ribose product manufacture and application.
