The company has been engaged in construction machinery industry, which is a key part of China equipment manufacturing industry. According to China Construction Machinery Association (CCMA), the construction machinery industry covers 20 categories including earth moving machinery, excavating machinery, concrete machinery, compact machinery, road construction and maintenance machinery, hoisting machinery, aerial operation machinery, widely applied in construction engineering, hydraulic engineering, electric power engineering, road engineering, mine engineering and port engineering. The company is mainly engage in R&D, manufacturing, sales, leasing, maintenance and technical consulting service of construction machinery, mine machinery, earth working machinery for farmland, harvesting machinery and spare parts. Main income of the company comes from manufacturing and sales of original equipment including bulldozer, road roller, concrete machinery and loading machine and key components including crawler base and transmission system. Shantui bulldozer has become the first brand in China, and has won the sole gold medal in the bulldozer industry all over the country. At present, its annual production capacity exceeds 10,000 units of bulldozers, 4,000 units of road machineries, 500 units of concrete machineries, 150,000 track assemblies, 80,000 units of torque converters, 20,000 transmissions and 1,000,000 units of construction equipment rollers.The company makes plan for manufacturing tasks to be carried out by related manufacturing units in accordance with market prediction and rational inventory in terms of business model. For products sales, the original equipment is mainly sold via agents while the parts are sold by supplying to OEMs and via agents. Leading domestic bulldozer market, the company is one of the earliest listed construction machinery manufacturers of China. Shantui owns a sound sales system and complete sales service network, and its products are sold all over the country and overseas in more than 150 countries and territories.
